| Coaching |
Licensed, credentialed and experienced
coaches. Our staff has a long history of
soccer; most assuredly as players but
also as coaches. They bring enthusiasm
and an infectious love for the game. Our coaches are a vital part of the club; they
see their duty as training and developing players. Your son/daughter will be
exposed to a variety of coaches through their Shadow career, which enhances their overall experience. This is a critical strength of our club. Children are exposed to a variety of teachers on their academic path; the same will be the case for our Shadow players.

Volunteer coaches with various levels of coaching experience. Some have certifications and high school or college playing experience. We offer unique benefits that other Select soccer programs do not: a licensed Director of Coaching guides our volunteer coaches. They receive active information that flows from the Premier side of the club to them, following similar philosophies and emphases.

| League Play |
Compete in the District VI League (Eastern WA)
of Washington Youth Soccer. Keeping U11 Premier in this league alleviates
the need to travel across the state to play games in the Regional Club League. Our focus is on development of the player; therefore, the
training environment is our highest priority at this level. This environment
is what separates our club.Shadow U12 Premier teams join the Regional Club League as it just becomes a reality that we have to seek out higher competition that our side of the state cannot fully provide.

Compete in the District VI League (Eastern WA) of Washington Youth Soccer. Shadow Select teams stay in this league for U12-U18 competition.
|
| Training |
Shadow Premier teams practice 9-10 months of
the year, currently at Dwight Merkel Complex.
We have an “open” practice policy. For players who desire more training, they are welcome to attend other Premier team practices. |
Shadow United teams train 6-8 months of the year neighborhood fields in the north central part of Spokane.
Tournament participation by teams is optional.
|
| Player Expectations |
Shadow Premier brings with it an expectation that the players really want to play soccer and be around others that share this desire. They do NOT have to specialize in soccer; playing other sports at this age is encouraged. Players that like competing andwant to be challenged to be better by their teammates and their coaches will find a perfect fit in Shadow Premier. |
Select soccer is for the player looking for a more competitive level of play than Recreational soccer.
This level of play provides continued opportunities for players to play the game with others that have similar levels of ability and desire.
Players and families are usually seeking a locally based set up for practices.
As such, our association has
4 representative clubs at the Select level. Our Select Club, Shadow United, is based out of the Shadle Park, North Central and Rogers school districts.

| Cost |
The financial difference to play Premier soccer comes down to the service provided. Premier Soccer coaches are
paid a stipend, thus Club dues for U11 Premier are $825. Shadow’s coaching staff is selected based on the highest standards - the most important part
being adults we can entrust with our children that have the playing experience and coaching credentials to help players attain the highestlevels of development. We have proven success in doing just that.
Additional expenses are incurred for uniforms, tournaments and travel in Eastern Washington.

Select coaches are volunteers. Shadow United Select Club dues are $75, which goes towards helping to provide guidance and instruction by a licensed director to our volunteer coaches, along with administrative support for our team managers. This is truly unique at this level and our club is happy to be able to provide such a service. Additional expenses are incurred for uniforms, tournaments and travel in Eastern Washington.
