In Memory of Olivia Chaffin, age 9
The Shadow and Sabers families mourn the loss of Olivia Chaffin who passed away from injuries sustained in a June 10th car accident. The two evenings prior to Olivia's passing found her at Shadow's U10 Girls Junior Program Placement Nights playing soccer, a game she loved, with over 120 other children from throughout Spokane. Olivia wore tryout #460 and her Shadow uniform number was to be #1.
Please keep Olivia's parents, Richard and Jennifer, her brothers, Tony and Joey, and the extended Chaffin family in your prayers. Memorial contributions may be made to the Olivia L. Chaffin Memorial Fund at any Spokane Teachers Credit Union branch.

Ranked as the #6 soccer club in Washington State, the Spokane Shadow Youth Soccer Club is the only soccer club within the Inland Empire region to attain membership in the highly competitive and distinctive Regional Club League. Formerly the Player Development League (PDL), the Regional Club League consists of the top 20 clubs in Washington Youth Soccer and seeks to play "like vs. like" teams in competitive leagues among clubs that consistently demonstrate the ability to develop Championship Cup caliber teams, Olympic Development Program (ODP) players, and a commitment to appropriate developmental philosophies for youth. Utilizing shorter league seasons and fewer summer tournaments, quality of instruction is emphasized over quantity.
Membership in the Regional Club League requires clubs to meet stringent requirements. All RCL clubs must:
1. Employ a properly licensed Coaching Director (UEFA/USSF B or higher) in charge of coach education, assignment, and behavior.
2. Offer an Association-endorsed development program that works with either coaches or players from other clubs within the Association.
3. Earn a top 20 finish in the League and Cup metric as authorized by the RCL Committee.
