Dear Shadow Players and Parents:

On behalf of our Shadow coaching staff and Board of Directors, thank you for your enthusiasm in being a part of our Club.  We are all excited to work with you as we promote player development, quality coaching, good sportsmanship, professional conduct, and the betterment of Spokane’s youth soccer experience.

One of my goals as Technical Director has been to analyze and lower expenses incurred by our families.  It is important that we make Shadow as affordable as possible to all who want to play.  To that end, we have waived the tryout fee of $30, lowered club dues, and order less expensive Nike uniforms for our players.  Our financial assistance program has awarded nearly $30,000 in Club Dues scholarships each of the past two years I have served as your Technical Director.  

One way every Shadow player can offset their club dues and team expenses is to pursue Player Sponsorships.  We encourage each player to ask for sponsorships from friends, family, or area businesses.     For any player who brings in donations exceeding what is owed for club dues, extra funds will be forwarded to your Team Treasurer to be used toward team expenses (tournament registration fees, coaches travel/per diem, etc.)  Each sponsor will receive a thank you letter from the Club and will be listed on the Player Sponsorship Program page of the Shadow website.  I encourage each player to thank their sponsors, too.

Please make sure that the player name is included on all of the Player Sponsorship Agreements you turn in!  This will help us properly account for all sponsorships.  Mail in your donations directly to the Club; do not ask your coach or Team Manager to turn them in for you.
